"My name is Senpai Marty Garcia. I am a single dad to 3 children. I am a currently a 2nd. Degree Nikidokai Black Belt .. My Journey started in Feb 2015. At the time I was trying to change my lifestyle to be healthy. I was fighting type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and severe anxiety. I was taking medication for all 3. I had already lost about 70 Pounds and wanted something else to push me. 

My daughter Serenity had trained with Hanshi Nico and told me he could push me to the next level. I contacted him and he invited me to a kickboxing class. I went to the class the next night and met Sensei Glen. I barely made it through the class but knew it was something I needed to do, so I went back the next day to the 9 am morning class. Now I am either training or helping teach almost every day. 

I am 41 years old and I can say that I am in the best shape of my life mentally and physically. I reversed the diabetes in 9 months and no longer take any medication for anything. I am loving my journey to become a Nikidokai Black Belt."
